The bikes were easy to use and allowed us to zip around easily. Despite a few big hills in the area, the e-bikes make short work of getting around without having to work hard at all.
The owner was friendly, and super helpful (allowed us to change our booking at the last moment even though he wasn't typically open on the one day we had free). A great experience and we would 100% recommend this to anyone who likes wine and can ride a bike.

Glen was super hospitable and greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived (with some fantastic wine tasting). The sparkling moscato was sucha delight!
Riding through the vineyards was really the best way to explore the countryside. Having full flexibility, hopping onto different places and enjoying the scenery at our own pace - couldn't have asked for a better journey.
Glen was also very attentive to have called us when he saw us going off-track, and we truly appreciate him checking up on us. Bikes were great, and it was an easy route to follow. Do note some wineries require bookings before hand

Service with a smile! Country hospitality at its best. Passion for his business. Great wine tasting and interesting stories of his business and past growing up around the Hunter.

My 1st ever time on on E bike, what a great experience it was and a fun way to go wine tasting. We had to make a couple of changes to our booking the morning we were to pick up our bikes, and Glen was really accommodating. He went over not just how to use the bike but also checked over the local map with us, making suggestions. Yes there are a few E bike for hire places but the personable way Glen goes about it makes a big difference. We didn't get our bikes back till late afternoon but he still had time for a great chat and allowed us to experience his Brothers Wines.

What a great hire experience. My partner and I drove up to the Hunter Valley on the weekend, stayed and drove to Grapemobile and left our car there for the day. We hired the e-bikes for a full day. Helmet, carrykart and support if broken down etc included.
Came back around 4pm and got to try their wines they made. The owners are so helpful, including their beautiful dog that greeted us upon arrival and mapped out the best areas to visit based on your time schedule, what you want to do and your fitness level (map with highlights included).

Glen was fantastic as was his son! Booking was easy, and when we had created our own tour ideas, Glen explained and organized our map, showed us the paths to take and genuinely got us off to a great
day with a photo shoot to marks the moment. Highlight was not just the great quality bikes with awesome baskets, but definitely the palate cleanser of his own moscato (delicious) at 9:30 when we picked up the bikes “to wash the toothpaste”. Will definitely book these bikes again, it was the way to do the Hunter. 👌

Hi everyone.I am going to go to Australia soon .I know that the weather here is winter now so I want to ask that can I go to the grape field now?Is it beautiful like in spring?
PokBros
Pokolbin, Australia1 contribution
Hi Hu'o'ng Linh,
Thank you for your enquiry. Although it is winter here, the weather is mild with daily temperature reaching around 18 deg.C.
it is not as warm as spring, but many winter days are nice and sunny.
The grape vines are dormant, with the green leaf not attached. however, the scenery is still spectacular, and the wine & food taste is excellent.
We hope you will decide to visit Grapemobile Bicycle Hire to cycle through the grape fields and see the kangaroos when you visit Australia. We are sure you will have a wonderful time.
Best regards from Glen Thomson, Managing Director, Grapemobile Bicycle Hire.
I would like to book 6 bikes , 3 men's , 3 ladies, on the 19th March, we are staying at Harrigans Irish pub. Can you advise me of the tour we could do from your bike pick up that would only have country lanes and tracks but would visit at least a few vineyards thank you
PokBros
Pokolbin, Australia1 contribution
Hi!
Thank you for your enquiry,
We presently have 6 bikes, 3 mens & 3 ladies, available for hire on Saturday, 19th March, 2016.
Our bus pick-up/return option from your local accommodation at Harrigans Irish Pub to our own centrally located vineyard hire base is also available.
Our popular Grapemobile tour product includes cycling along country lanes & off-road trails through private vineyard properties, with the option of visiting up to 9 boutique wineries along the way, all offering tastings and free delivery of purchases back to our hire base.
There are two trail loops, both around 5km each, with wineries spaced at 1km or less apart. Most people do both loops, but that's up to you, and the amount of time you wish to spend at each winery.
The trails & the bikes are designed mainly for people who are into casual, easy cycling, not so much for serious professional cyclists. We are more about fun, food & wine!
Bikes can also be fitted with baskets, and we also include VIP Lanyard passes (for private access & complimentary wine tastings), sunscreen, bikes, helmets, bottled water, free photo, comprehensive map & instruction.
To make a booking, you would just need to visit our Grapemobile website, fill & send the 'Contact Us' form, then we'll confirm your requirements with times & availability. Once we follow the booking process & receive your deposit of $10.00pp, your bicycle reservation is confirmed.
Hoping this info helps.
Cheers
