We came and were looked after by Jacob. He was fantastic and clearly knew a lot about the vineyards. The wine was delicious and we were well looked after. Thanks Jacob

Boutique winery A+

My friend and I were travelling around Pokolbin with my dog cupid and found Pokolbin Estate Vineyard after visiting the Hunter Olive Centre right next door.

We were greeted with a choice of where to sit. We chose the picnic tables in the garden. It was so peaceful and just what we needed.

The wines were Yum, and the service was excellent thanks for looking after us, Jacob.
My favourite wine was the Reisling.

Good wine with bad service
Jan. 2021 • Friends
Con point: service is rude and very stingy when pouring for tasting. They tried to skip the expensive one even u actually paid for the tasting and please be aware that the tasting fee was non redeemable for wine purchase after.

Pro point: sparking and red wine is really nice and price is reasonable.

Anyway, not recommend in hunter valley as there are so many wineries with excellent service.

Nothing fresh. No tastings.
Jan. 2021 • Family
Visited the olive shed and it had a big selection of mixed olives. Unfortunately no tastings allowed, which was disappointing. Also, all olives were in glass jars containing preservatives and gluten. Nothing fresh.

The woman behind the counter seemed bored and disinterested. A bit of a turn off.

We are olive lovers, but left empty handed.

Hi JuneC683, We are sorry to hear that your recent visit to the Hunter Olive Centre was not a pleasant one. It is due to government regulations in relation to COVID-19 that our store cannot currently operate as a tasting outlet. Pre COVID-19 our store had up to 60 products on tasting including our award-winning olives, olive oil, dukkah, jams & chutneys. Although some of our flavoured olives, may contain traces of gluten and natural preservatives, the majority of our olives do not. All of our Olives are bottled weekly, after natural maturation and softening in brine, making them the freshest they could possibly be. We endeavor to learn from your review and improve our customer satisfaction

Amazing wine tasting experience! Graham was very informative and gave great detail on the variety on wines tasted and had cheerful stories to tell throughout. Overall great experience with great hosts and to top it off, great tasting wine! Thank you for having us, we can’t wait to come back!

Graham was the best part of my experience! So down to earth, intelligently knowledgable about the different wines, and an overall legend.

We had a lovely tasting experience today at Pokolbin estate with the General Manager. Graham was so entertaining and knowledgeable of his wines on offer. We found every wine we tasted very enjoyable. Will definitely be back for some more delicious wines. Thank you for a lovely morning.

Delightful
Sep. 2020
We had a horse carriage wine tour with a group of 10 on the 12th September 2020, Mitchel was our host and he did an incredible job describing the wine. He had a lovely assistant with him which recommended me a few wines (as I am not much of a wine drinker) the Sangiovese Bela Rosa, Riesling Late Harvest 2014 Riesling Sparkling Boujee 2018 and the 2016 Neil’s Autumn Harvest Riesling were delightful! Everyone was happy with their purchases. Lovely spot with many condiments to purchase for a upcoming platter to share with friends.

Visited this vineyard last week wit a group of friends. We had the best wine tasting experience! We tried quite a few types of wine. Beautiful late harvest!! Mitchell, the host, was fantastic. Impressive knowledge. and he answered all our questions with a smile. If you go to the Hunter Valley, visit this place.

Fantastic experience. Mitchel the wine expert was soo nice, patient and very knowledgeable. We walked out knowing more, having had a delightful experience and with awesome wines to relieve the experience at home. We will come back. Absolutely recommend.
$5 tasting or red if there is no purchase.
Place is also quite nice to look at and have a bit of a walk.
