The new renovated cellar door is awesome!
Our first visit to the new cellar door. Definitely designed to handle bigger crowds and great ambience even though the old cellar door had character. The "bottle shop" front entrance is spectacular with all the wines lined up on display and the two humidified wine cabinets with museum vintages available. There were reds and whites dating back to the 1980s. I left with a 1986 Phillip shiraz and a 2002 Lovedale semillon. The tasting experience was superb. The club membership is very attractive and affordable. The staff were excellent. Highly recommended.

The wine and food pairing is not to be missed.
An oustanding new venue in the Hunter and congratulations to the new for an excellent restoration of the premises. Presentation is at the forefront both for purchses and tasting in an excellent dining room. The wine and food pairing offered not only an opportunity to taste some excellent Mt Pleasant wines but the Chef demonstrated his fine skills with four very professional plates. The staff are just wonderful. Enjoy!

A do not miss experience on a trip to the Hunter Valley
An exceptional experience at Mt Pleas at. The attention to details in the service, the ambiance and the personalisation of the experience by Matt was second to none. The wine was of superior quality across the range. We will be life long fans and will return regularly. A do not miss experience on a trip to the Hunter Valley

One of the best wine experiences you can have
This was one of the best wine tasting experiences I've ever had. The married couple who were our hosts were exceptional, so dedicated, Passion and hospitable. They gave us a tremendous experience of the amazing wines, the vineyards, the history and the whole story of mount pleasant. Plus the wine was outstanding. Couldn't recommend this place more

My group and I were quite taken aback by the poor customer service by one particular worker.
I experienced an encounter with an older woman working at Mount Pleasant wines who was quite abrupt and hostile.
She stated that she ‘wasn’t losing much business at all’, when she did not allow our group on the premises. I did not get her name however she said she was “the most senior worker”. She scolded our group for the mistakes of our bus company and she used no discretion in doing this as she did it in front of other patrons. She was following procedures however, her delivery and customer service skills were extremely poor. I am very disappointed that she ruined my Mount Pleasant experience.

Thank you for your feedback and apologies that your experience at Mount Pleasant was not as you had expected. Unfortunately, in the current climate, there are strict rules and regulations that we must adhere to in order to conduct tastings in the safest manner possible for our team members and guests. Our Covid-19 Safety Plan has been formulated based on the rules set out by NSW Health regarding Hospitality venues (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rules#hospitality-venues) and the operating recommendations outlined by the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association for Cellar Doors and Tour Operators (https://www.winecountry.com.au/plan/travel-safety) which follow the advice of Service NSW. While more than 10 persons can travel in a single vehicle, the advice remains that if groups larger than 10 are travelling together, their entry to any hospitality venue is at the discretion of the venue. Our policy of keeping groups to a maximum of 10 people is clearly stated on both the Tasting Experiences and Our Cellar Door pages of our website where guests make their tasting reservation. As well as this, we have made the utmost effort to ensure all Hunter Valley tour operators are aware of our policy in these trying times, unfortunately, there have been businesses who continue to flout the rules and I sincerely apologise that your group was impacted by this decision. We hope to welcome you back to our Cellar Door to enjoy our wines during your next visit to the Hunter Valley. If you wish to discuss this further, please call me on (02) 4998 7505. Kind regards, Adrian Sparks

On Saturday a group of 10 of us arrived early for our designated booking to be told we were unable to enter because we shared a bus with another group. The staff at the door said COVID restrictions meant we can’t share transport which is inaccurate, there were less than 20 of us in public and only had a booking for 10 people. Unfortunately the staff member was quite rude and when we asked about a refund for our tastings we were told it was not possible. Whilst we appreciate the impact of COVID restrictions it should not be an excuse to not provide a refund especially when restrictions are not being interpreted correctly.

Visited 30 mins prior to closing time. Had driven hours from Brisbane to see this winery. Were unfortunately greeted with a rude worker and refused service. They told us we could buy a bottle only and refused to do even a mini tasting despite still being open. We intended to do a quick tasting and buy a few bottles but the lack of customer service and being refused tastings when still open deterred us. Save yourself the trip and head to the other local wineries - much better service. Tintilla estate wines took us for a tasting and we are glad we left this winery straight away.
It’s beautiful on the outside but lacking staff who love what they do and appreciate their customers. To apparently not even do tastings within 2 hours of closing is just lazy in our eyes.

A great way to taste these iconic hunter wines in their newly refurbished, stunning tasting room. For a very reasonable $25 i was able to sample six of their current offerings, accompanied by some basic nibbles to freshen the palate. Great service from a very professional expert too. Highly recommend the experience.

The recently refurbished tasting rooms at Mount Pleasant is absolutely stunning and created the perfect ambience for a most enjoyable wine tasting experience. Mel who took care of us, was also just wonderful with much experience in the industry, and very professional in imparting her vast knowledge on the wines we were served. She certainly added to our appreciation of the wines and the whole experience. We learnt much and will without doubt be picking up more Mount Pleasant wines in the future. Mount Pleasant topped our cellar door experience on this trip.

Our favourite tasting in the hunter. James and Pete were outstanding, very personable and knowledgeable and they went above and beyond for us. We have become members to enjoy more delicious wine and because of the great service. We will be back again before we head home!

Very unprofessional staff who have no customer service skills what so ever. Our group was denied entry due to unclear covid guidelines yet we had no issues with any other wineries on the day of our visit except this one. The woman at the front door gave us attitude right in front of other visitors and was quite frankly an embarrassing representation of the business. She refused to provide a refund for our booking and was unreasonable and unpleasant to deal with. Shame on you
