Tasting wine is better when it is an experience. Either a view, a small cellar door with ambience or larger than life staff. While the Mount Pleasant wines are nice the the cellar door doesn't lent itself to a great experience.

Visited on busy Easter weekend but was. It rushed or crowded with generous tastings, music playing in the courtyard, cheese platters and pies to enjoy with a wine. Stayed longer than planned but loved it.

Popped in as I always do when I'm in the Hunter Valley. We were looked after by Kate, she is the person you want to run your cellar door! I was able to walk out with 6 x 2014 Shiraz which was a bonus :)

This winery was quiet. The wine was good. Nothing particularly special or inviting about the venue it self though. The staff were nice.
