The wines at McGuigan are great, no question, but when I compare the experience of wine tasting here with other wineries (and with my memories of it from decades ago...) it feels a bit impersonal. The massive shed building which is obviously excellent for huge numbers of people makes it feel just SO big. While the staff are lovely and... More

Thank you for your feedback. During weekends and peak holiday times we have some very busy days when the cellar door staff “multi-task” to meet the crowds of enthusiastic wine-lovers. However the cellar door team is very passionate about giving our visitors a great wine experience even in these busy times, so it is disappointing you felt we did not... More

I visited McGuigan wines as part of my tour and can say this was probably my favorite stop. McGuigans offer a great wine selection at an affordable price. The tasting sessions offered were also really great, comfortable and most inviting that I experienced whilst in the Hunter Valley. It's also probably one of the better known brands commercially. Overall I... More

At Catchabus Tours, we like to make regular visits to McGuigan Wines. The staff are always fantastic, and show our small groups plenty of friendly service. With a great selection of some very popular wines to try, and their ability to show our guests a great wine tasting experience, I'm sure they will be a regular stop on one of... More

As a person who has drunk a lot of McGuigans' Wines over theh years this was disappointing. The reds I tasted were not up to the quality that I have come to expect from McGuigans. The young lady behind the tasting counter was really only interested in "airing" her knowledge in a "pushy" way and I found that most unsatisfactory.... More

We went to several wineries but by far this was the best. Friendly atmosphere, friendly people, great wines and service. They produces many wines and did not tast one that i didn't like. Bought several and continued the enjoyment.

If you like your smooth red, not too bold, you will enjoy this winery. The variety of Reds are for all tastes. From the red label to the barrosa valley wines, their wines take you to a different level. Their late harvest is also one worth the try and our preferred smooth and sweet red is the Summer. When arriving the cheese shop doesn't do any tastings, and at the cellar they seemed even less interested in giving us a taste of their wines. Our host a younger female offered hardly any advice as to how to go about our tasting, apart from telling us that we shouldn't have this or that because you have to start with... More

This winery had a great tasting room with plenty of room for the crowds that were there over the Easter break. The wines were very nice and a reasonable price. There was also a cheese tasting shop which had great cheeses.

Large tasting area with interesting sale items. Good wines tasted with enthusiastic staff. Next door is a good place to get some cheese for your wine.
