About
Declan & Danielle McCaffrey welcome you to their family owned and operated winery. It is one of the smaller producers in the Hunter Valley creating premium hand-crafted wines for all occasions. Be sure to book in for a relaxed tasting of their single vineyard boutique wines. There are plenty of stories to share of life amongst the vines, and the journey of relocating from Sydney with a young family for a life in wine country.
Open daily from 10:00-5:00pm for wine tastings and sales.

Declan and the staff are always so welcoming. We have t visited since January and he remembered us and made us feel so welcome. We had a non wine drinker along to see if we could entice her and she raved about the wine so it was great to see one of our favs through her eyes. The wine and cheese tasting is always great and the great cellar door and staff make it special

we booked this experience for my dad's birthday. It was an enjoyable experience, a special mention to Chris who was a great host and was very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot about the history and what qualities to look for when tasting wines. I also enjoyed the cheeses as well. I will highly recommend this experience for people who enjoy wine tasting and want to learn more about wine making.

Our group had a fabulous experience at McCaffrey's Estate. Chris had our usually 'chatty' group enthralled from the moment he started the tasting. Whatever you pay him, he's worth double as we were sorry we had to leave. The wines were fabulous too.

Had the pleasure of spending not one hour but 2 hours at McCaffrey Estate, tasted some beautiful wines, with some complimentary cheeses. Thoroughly enjoyed the stories told by Chris our host, lots of laughs and a little bit of learning as well. Thanks Chris we enjoyed out time in your company and I’m sure we will return. We all purchased some quality wine. I particularly enjoyed the ‘Whistler’ Shiraz and the story that goes with the wine. Cheers Chris, Declan and Danielle.

What a beautiful place to do a tasting, from the moment we stepped off the bus we felt welcome. The wines were amazing and Chris our somellier was so entertaining and knowledgeable.

Stopped in here on a tour. Was definitely the best we stopped at - amazing wine , cheese and the lady serving us the tasting very knowledgeable about the area and wine in general. Five stars .

What a fantastic time we had here. The wine was amazing the atmosphere was awesome and the staff were simply sensational, the owner Declan and Chris the sommelier were so knowledgeable and very engaging. Best experience we had in the Hunter this time around. Totally recommend stopping in for the wine tasting experience!

The wine and cheese tasting was not only good value for money, but Chris' explanation of the wine and the background of the wine names was very impressive. It was a wine tasting with friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere, and delicious wines.
