They are indeed stunning gardens and the work involved would be phenomenal. Was there with family, two small nieces and they loved Story Book Gardens (so did the big kids). Have to say it can get pricey though, especially when the kids want to go on the train on top of the entry ticket.

Not much here as far as I could see. I gave it an extra point for the restrooms. Oh, maybe I am missing the point. It might be good for the gardens.

As one who lives not too far from the Hunter Valley Gardens (within an hour) I am gobsmacked at the exorbitant price for entry. It's a nice place, with individually themed gardens, that include: east Asian blending Chinese, Japanese & Korean elements. I loved the Korean grass, it looked like carpet with lumps in it. There was an Inidian garden,... More

We have just spent an enjoyable and leisurely trip around the gardens. It is a shame that it was not this best time of year to see it at its blooming best. They suggest about 3 hours is the time needed to see the gardens properly. There is a fun children's section and some specialty shops. We will return at a... More

We came during the day and came back in the early evening. And enjoyed both times, it was hot so the coolness of the cafe was a blessing we had milkshakes , chips and ice cream! The lights were beautiful as always.. we always come back to the gardens whenever we're in the Hunter Valley.

This attraction is looking a little tired.... Age is showing. Some lovely garden rooms with many plants. Unfortunately building works with noise & diesel smell impacted on ambience. It is unfortunate that many of the water gardens are choked with water lillies. The gift shop had closed & cafe is really sad ... large empty room. I had to ask... More

We actually went to the gardens for my nieces wedding. It was a beautiful setting and the wedding was perfect. Staff were very helpful ensuring the motorised cart was available for older guests. Didn't really spend a lot of time walking through the gardens so hard to comment. I did notice the entrance fee was $29 for adults. This seems... More

I can only compare it to Blackpool Illuminations on foot. I'm sure anyone wanting to enjoy the gardens over the festive break will be very frustrated by how commercial it all is BUT it is well done and the kids really enjoyed it (this seemed only fair after a day of wine tasting for us!)
