Julie and her small team of professional tour guides make touring in the Hunter Valley a pleasure. HV Tours visit small boutique wineries. There are so many cellar doors and small supporting businesses in the Hunter Valley to see and experience, let your local guide take you to visit our favorites in an exciting full day experience with us. Julie was great, very flexible with our tour. Very knowledgeable on the area and made sure we were well taken care of. We visited 4 wineries and 1 distillery and a cheese and chocolate shop, great day out!

We had a wonderful afternoon our tour guide the delightful and knowledgeable Julie.
We especially enjoyed our tasting with Johnny at the Hunter’s Dream Estate and our visit to the Wine House.
The van was immaculate and comfortable.

The bus driver Bruce was amazing. He was polite, kind and funny as well as he couldnt do enough for us even going out to get some pkts of chips as some of us hadnt eaten before the tour. The wineries were boutique specalist there was only one winery that were not pleasant and rude. Bruce was so apologetic. Otherwise a good day was had by all. Love the cheese and chocolate at the end of the tour.

Bruce is a gem of a guide, there is no doubt. I am glad you enjoyed your day with him/us
I am sorry about your experience at one of the wineries we visited and I have discussed this with the winery's management.
Yes, it helps you have a good day out if you have eaten before you get on the tour bus.
On a good note as you say we do leave the best for last with the cheese and chocolate shop visit. So much to see, taste and buy.
Im do glad you enjoyed your day with us and I hope to see you again in the future

Julie planned a well-organized full-day wine tour. She picked my wife and I up from our hotel in the morning and we were joined by one other couple in the morning plus another 8 or so people in the afternoon. We went to 4-5 different vineyards + a spirit shop + lunch in the middle. Almost all the vineyards were great with welcoming, educating hosts. Highly recommend if you're not sure where to begin with your vineyard search and/or just want a relaxing day with everything planned out for you.

Comfortable bus and lovely driver. Wineries were slightly underwhelming. Felt like some were targeted to the wrong crowd (crass humour). Wish we had visited some of the bigger wineries (e.g., Tyrrell’s or Audrey Wilkinson). Meal was also disappointing - hoped for a meal at a boutique winery but instead went to Four Pines Brewery, which isn’t unique to Hunter Valley. We met some lovely people on the tour but wish that we had more definite list of wineries we were visiting, so we could make a more educated choice.

I'm very sorry to read that it sounds like you didnt have a great day with us, which is very sad to read. I am very sorry to read you felt underwhelmed on your tour. Maybe if you had booked a private tour with us and gone to the places you wanted, so you could have had the experience you wanted opposed to booking on our shared guided group tour suited to the general visitor, you may have been a bit happier with your day.

Our tour guide Bruce went above and beyond so generous had such a wonderful group of people that made it so fun ever thing was really well organised at each tasting and lunch was really yummy

We booked a private tour for four friends from Queensland on a Mercedes bus with Julie.
Julie was a pleasure to work with arranging our custom vineyard tour. We were collected from our hotel in Newcastle by Julie.
Julie‘s experience and hospitality was outstanding.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Julie’s company. Especially enjoyed our wine tasting at Binet Family wines which was recommended by Julie.

Can you tell me if we can bring children on the tour? ....We have three kids 8,10 & 12 yrs old. Is there areas they can be around outside to enjoy at each winery ?

Hi. Children are welcomed at Hunter Valley Tours. Adults wishing to have their children accompanying them need to book a private tour not a shared tour.

Hi Pannie, thank you for contacting Hunter Valley Tours. We like to include most if not all boutique cellar doors in the Hunter Valley.
During the week we like to work with you to try to cater to your request. On Saturdays we will try to follow a set route, a route that is revised regularly.
An example of wineries are from small such as Lucy's Run, Binet wines Gemeli, Stomp! to larger boutique wineries such as McGuigans or Peterson's, Tulloch or Agnes wines.
The Hunter has over 180 cellar doors and wineries. We try not to limit ourselves.
If you have preferences you would like to visit, we are happy to work with you.
