Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were served by Bob, who is the vineyard proprietor. He was extremely knowledgeable. One unique thing about Montoro wines is that it is a Shiraz only - particularly in a region which is not known for Shiraz. Even Bob's competitors acknowledge he is the region's premier shiraz winemaker.

Bob was friendly and courteous and made us fell right at home. The cellar door is BEAUTIFUL - an architectural delight.

No doubt things will be challenging in the COVID environment but I cannot recommend Montoro Wines highly enough (we bought 6 and are going back for more!).

We had no plan to visit Montoro but we drove by on the way to Rowlee.
Suffice to say Rowlee was incredibly underwhelming so we had our tasting and decided to head into Montoro. A beautiful, boutique, almost “storage cage” venue where the welcoming couldn’t have been more friendly - Bailey the border collie is worth the visit alone!
Bob, the owner (go on a Sunday!) took us through a unique range starting with a white Shiraz (the only of its kind) which was a gem. The tasting ended with ‘Wicked’ - it’s everything you want.
Do yourself a favour: go to Montoro, have a cuddle with Bailey and enjoy some of the best reds on offer. Just brilliant.
Thank you for having us.

We four were on a 2 day winery visit for our first time to Orange and had a little time spare, so we dropped into Montoro Wines for a visit. The lady there wasn’t too busy so she hosted us and wow weren’t we all surprised, there are no white wines, but I hear you say, we don’t like reds, well neither do I, but the ‘Just for Madge’ is incredible, a almost white Shiraz that comes in a small easy to drink bottle. The reds are great too, as I think we purchased a Pepper Shiraz as well, our friends purchased a fair few reds also, so a great day was had by us, the winery dog loved to chase its tennis ball, thank you Montoro Wines staff, we look forward to visiting again.

Small winery - we really wanted to try the sparkling shiraz but it was not available for tasting. Wines were nice enough. We expected more from the wine after hearing how great they were from the owner. Better reds around.

The winery is only shiraz grapes but it is all made on a differing approach to picking and bottling. The pure white shiraz was an interesting touch. Very informative wine maker.
