Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great spot for surfers in Newcastle. The beach is patrolled by professional and volunteer lifeguards in the summer. The kids wading pool with its now sand covered map of the world is at its Northern end.

The beach has bathing amenities on it, free parking nearby, cafes and restaurants right there. Excellent surf on the days I was there

Newcastle Beach is one of many beautiful beaches along the coastline. It is fully patrolled during summer. Has a fabulous kiosk and plenty of covered tables to sit and enjoy a coffee or lunch. Has change rooms and toilets. There is also ocean baths within a short walk from the beach. A must do when visiting beautiful Newcastle.

This is a sensationally beautiful strand. Lots of people were present when we visited. It seemed like a pretty good bunch. We stopped and chatted with people. The biggest complaint was that the beach has very little parking for a popular public beach.
Try the beach. I suggest getting there early on the weekend if you don't want a Sydney-like car mess.

Newcastle Beach is a beautiful white-sand beach within walking distance of the heart of Newcastle. They have volley ball nets permanently set up (you need to bring your own volley ball). It's one block away from a great ice-cream shop. We were there late afternoon, and enjoyed watching the waves while sitting on one of the concrete steps which lead down to the beach. Rest rooms are open during the day. Parking can be difficult in summer, and street parking is metered.

Enjoyed the rock pools at the northern end of the beach. Not much parking or cafes around, but otherwise good

This beautiful beach is very close to the CBD and also a light rail stop making it very accessible. The beach is well patrolled by lifeguards and has the enclosed sea water pools for smaller children
