This is an interesting place to visit, made all the more worthwhile by the guys who volunteer their time and energy to the place. They double as guides and clearly have a love for the stock on exhibition. There are various trains to see but...More

Great place for old and new. Lots to see and the guides are very knowledgeable. If you are lucky as we were they were shunting engines and using the turntable. Very informative.

We had an amazing visit on a rainy winters day. For a small fee, visitors get a guided tour of an incredible collection of engines, coaches and memorabilia relating to Australia's railway history. Our guide had been a fireman on steam trains and conveyed a...More

This is more for the SERIOUS train enthusiast as it's pretty much a rail yard workshop and storage facility with quite a few old, non-restored engines and carriages. For the casual visitor, they should note that this isn't a museum since it doesn't feature information...More

This is a must for train enthusiasts and interesting for those who aren't 100% into trains because of how good the staff are here. Normally when you go to rail museums nothing is 'moving' or 'alive', but this place is the opposite. Given the turntable...More

A great place for railway buffs to visit. Also a great place to take kids who are interested in trains. You can go under and into some trains, which is something that people do not generally get to experience. Also it is great that the...More
