My wife and I toured the home, one-on-one with the current occupant and Hume descendant. The historic home has a significant past, but it's even more interesting given that it has been a home since it stopped being a local inn, and the family has...More

What a wonderful place to visit. Stuart and his family are perfect hosts and a wealth of knowledge about their historic home. We also had lunch there, which was delicious. Our group voted our visit 10 out of 10 plus.

My volunteer guide was exceptional, I went inside, under around every sort of steam through diesel and carriage coaches, his knowledge and history of railways in Australia was astounding and interesting, I forgot his name,....a keen volunteer.

This is not the sort of visit we would usually undertake, and the property, though attractive from the outside, is not imposing. It began life as an inn, then a boarding school, and finally a family home. It is set in attractive grounds, but right...More

What I really liked was that the people doing the tour were both the 2nd generation brother/sister duo who run the house. They were able to explain their personal experiences growing up in the house. I think that personal touch was great ! Not many...More
