Well worth the time to visit the Zoo, it's not cheap but it is good value for money, and you can revisit the Zoo as many times as you like on the day.

I’ve been to a few zoos in my time, including world class zoos like San Diego. But none come close to Dubbo Zoo, right in our own back yard. Big, natural habitats for every animal, it’s like riding through Africa!

We had been talking about visiting Western Plains Zoo and finally got around to doing so. The only problem was that it took us so long to make this decision! This is a fantastic zoo, clearly established with animals, rather than primarily humans, in mind....More

Agree with most of the other answers. No pre booking, morning better value. We were there in school holidays and had no trouble with availability, but did notice in the afternoon most had gone. I thought they were great... More

No. Nearest camping is in Dubbo. On-site camping at the zoo is only in the "glamping" tents provided.
