Enjoyed the day out with the renowned artist Clark Barrett as our guide to find out about Broken Hill it's history and the quirky little town of Silverton Clark was patient and knowledgeable about the mining boom and bust with little ditties from his high school teaching years. Impending rain made the routine out of whack but still got to... More

We did two tours, one to Mutawintjie and a three day tour to Tibooburra and Cameron Corner. I had been to Mutawintjie many years ago and was keen to revisit as I had found it quite an awesome place. Sadly it was a bit of a waste of time, perhaps because access is now much more restricted than previously. The... More

We have just got home from another unbelievably wonderful tour with Tri State . This time we wanted to concentrate on Broken Hill & the surrounding outback adventures. Geoff was guide to Silverton where on the way back we got a chance to visit the sculptures & hear their history. We also went to White Cliffs with Geoff & stayed... More

Irving was a very kind and caring guide who took us on his Nissan Patrol back to the yesteryear in Mutamuntji NP to experience the real outback and learn about indigenous rock art. We enjoyed the picnic lunch with him in a peaceful and quiet information counter within the NP. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and we discussed a... More

We took the Aboriginal rock art day tour with Tri State Tours. This was a great way to travel beyond the usual tourists spots around Broken Hill and we greatly appreciated the attention of our guide and the sharing of his knowledge of "bush tucker" and pointing out so many things of interest along the way. The Rock Art was... More

We chose this company for our Menindee Lakes experience, despite it being $40 pp more expensive than another local provider, because it has been a consistent NSW and Australian tourism multi-award winner. But our recent experience makes me wonder whether that will continue in the future given the company has a new owner. While on our one-day Menindee Lakes tour... More

Hi Mumbo51, Thank you for your honest feedback. Our company has always held customer satisfaction in high regard, and this value is one that is upheld by our new ownership. So much so, in fact, that the founders of Tri State Safaris have remained as managers of the company to train and guide their successor over the several months prior... More

Mum had travelled with Tri State previously and loved her trip. We were picked up the first day a little late (perfect for me). Everything was well organised and our group was small and friendly. Mostly >60yo (I am in my 40s). Lots of morning tea, afternoon teas. Amazing dinners - I don't need to eat for the next 3... More

We have explored rock art sites all over the world, but this tour was top-notch. Our guide, Jeff, met us with Aussie charm at our hotel in Broken Hill and loaded us into his Ute. This was our highlight of our trip to Broken Hill. Picked up from our Hotel and off we went and got a feeling and glimpse of an outback experience. Traveled 20thousend km by our selfs through rough Australian country ones, it was nostalgic for us. Walking in a sandy water bed, watched by mountain goats above the rocks. Seeing memorabilia... I recently did the one day tour of Broken Hill and surrounds, including a few hours in Silverton. A great day that was very full with lots to see but it didn't feel too rushed. My tour guide, Irving, was terrific, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.
