Well worth visiting. Easy walking self-guided cave tour, camp ground, picnic area, waterfall and self contained cabins to rent if you don't want to rough it.

My husband and daughter took a self guided archway tour, managed by national parks and wildlife so there are entry fees involved. It is very peaceful and relaxing spot for a nature walk.

Well this place should be on your hit list if you are visiting Bathurst region. It had all things to do for a full day tour. Some great old caves to visit, there are also some adventure caves guided tours on offer. All basic facilities...More

Great place to camp and explore the local area and caves. We stayed in a caravan one night here down on the river, it was great and kids loved it.

Make a day of it! The last 10 minutes of the drive is a little curvy but well worth it. Pay and get a token to enter the Caves. We were the only ones inside, which was amazing! We could go at our own pace....More

Didn't expect to go by, but well worth it in the end. Quite an enjoyable afternoon wandering around.

We camped for a long weekend by the riverside. It was beautiful shaded under the trees. Lots to do, nature walks and tours through the caves

I'd never been before, we found out there are guided tours during the day, however they were over by the time we got there. Still, the self-guided tour is worth while.

Definitely no dogs allowed at the caves. There is free camping at Macquarie Woods which is half way between Bathurst and Orange. You can take long walks around the pine forest with lovely views.

Access to Abercrombie Caves is by own transport (car, motor bike etc) as there is no public transport available from Bathurst or anywhere else. Own transport allows the visitor to spend as much time in the area as possible... More
