The house look amazing, it's built from granite, it's a family home which means parts are off limits but there is still lots to see, there's info signs around the grounds, it does need a lot of work but I highly recommend dropping in to see a piece of our history

A great heritage house to visit if you are interested in antiques and all things old! The family living there (Morgan's) who bought it from the original family are very welcoming and love to answer any questions. There are plenty of curios and antiques to ponder over and the gardens are also lovely. There is a small cost to enter... More

It is not often that you get to see one family's labour of love as the house has been gradually being brought back from the brink. This is a work in progress and as such would be good to go back and see the progress. We did a self-guided tour and was fascinating to see this grand old girl and... More

Absolutely amazing, so many beautiful homemade goodies, with choice of teas, coffee and orange juice. Yummy sausage rolls and tiny quiche, sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, meringues, profiteroles, strawberries in chocolate , tiny melting moments, tiny orange cakes, mince pies. WOW.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and found the house and grounds interesting. Walking around family belongings and seeing the family was a bit uncomfortable but got used to it quickly.

Loved it, I have always loved the building and being able to see the entire property including original entry, stables, church, gardens & main house was amazing. The stories we were told by candlelight were also appropriate for everyone in the audience. Yes, the building is magnificent and steeped in history. Yes, parts of the building need some TLC but... It was the best timing when I got in this place.. The weather was as wonderful as what I saw in this property! The house has so many stories to tell.. There were 16 magnificent things to see, the $15 was worth it!

Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours at this amazing house today. A lovely meet and greet by Xanthe who gave us a potted history of the home, we then did a self guided tour of the house and garden. This is an amazing home filled with so many interesting things, loved the fact that it is lived in and used.... More

I have attended the high tea and children's ghost night tour and both events were extraordinarily interesting and amazing. Chris has done a a wonderful job in keeping the history alive of Abercrombie House.

We spent a whole afternoon in this amazing house last Saturday. It is a fascinating journey for my family and a couple of friends from overseas. It is a beautiful private residence open to the public. We love there are so many interesting items, paints, pictures and displays, as well as its own unique beautiful history and architecture. It is... More
