This lake is massive I thought it was small when I went to see it. The wall is huge also and you can walk over it. The view is spectacular

Located 15 minutes from Albury or Wodonga it is well worth the drive to see where the Murray river is held back to form Lake Hume. Currently at 100% capacity an awesome site, great views from Bethanga lookout another 10-15 mins across the lake bridge to Bellbridge and further on. Also travel up the Murray arm to lovely little towns... More

Amazing how the dam and hydro power station was built such a long time ago and its still functions today. Great spot to spend the day for a picnic and view the great lake. If in the area its a must see.

Was reluctant to visit this attraction but I'm glad we went. Love that it was build by return soldiers after WW1. Very impressive and a lovely walk around. We even saw a brown snake on the rocks basking in the sun.

Amazing to walk along the wall of the Weir and see the water gushing into the lake below. Seems to be a spot for wedding shots!

What a fantastic piece of engineering! Bring the kids it's worth the visit. There is a Caravan park attached to the lake, grassed areas for a picnic and a fabulous dam wall and hydro power station. Not to mention ....... the serenity!

We visited after some of the recent flooding and they were still releasing water over the weir. The sound and the force of the water was incredible.

The area is lovely. You can have a picnic on the lawn. I walked along the top of the Dam wall. The water force was amazing to see and feel. It was lovely to visit this week late in the day 6pm. Not very busy. There's a nearby Resort that looked a great place to stay. Might have to return... More
