Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of the most beautiful war memorials I have visited. The views from the top there are quite spectacular, and the memorial itself is a thing of beauty and dignity. The plaques commemorating involvement in different wars and conflicts are extremely impressive. A must for anyone who loves history, or genealogy.

An impressive monument of remembrance, reflection and peace.
I was surprised by its sheer size - its height; its brilliant white paint, and the immaculate gardens that surround it.
This monument, built in 1936, has an imposing presence. It is situated on top of a hill - overlooking the hometown of the young men who sacrificed their lives in war - and whose names appear on its numerous plaques.
With the exception of the Australuan War Memorial and the Shrine of Remembrance, I have never seen a more

Monument Hill in Albury has a 1.1km loop trail which takes about 23 minutes (steep in some places) or you can drive to the top and park. The monument area displays World War 1 and 11 memorials and features fantastic views over Albury and the walking track. There are lots of plaques with information to read. The monument is beautifully designed and presented with the area looked after immaculately. (toilets onsite) Take a walk or drive and enjoy this area.

I have been to Albury countless times over many decades but finally decided to visit the War Memorial. What a surprise. It is an amazing tribute to those who have been involved in the many Australian conflicts. The plaques are informative and detailed. Only one nitpicky down side was a misplaced apostrophe used as a plural in one of the plaques. A very tiny error in an otherwise very impressive display. I doubt other regional cities could come close to matching it.

Well maintained and obviously loved. Great to visit even in the soft rain we experience the day we went there.
Great views at night from the park to the town, and vice versa.

A special place for war buffs or people wanting to pay their respects especially this close to Anzac Day. The monument appears to have been recently refurbished. The gardens are neat and cared for. A peaceful place to visit and it has a good view.

Wow! What a stunning spot! The council keep this place super clean. The white paint is truely white and clean. No graffiti! The grounds give you a sense of peace and reflection and the view is amazing

This imposing white memorial is located on a hill top just to the west of the Albury CBD. There is a path to reach the top or there is parking for those who like to drive. There are various memorial plaques to all branches of the Australian military and every conflict they have served in. A stunning, fitting memorial to those who have served their country.

The War Memorial sits at the top of the hill at the end of the main street. There is a footpath all the way up to the top. It requires a little bit of fitness but is well worth it. I walked up around dawn and was rewarded with a beautiful sunrise. The views over the town and surrounding hills make it very worthwhile. The memorial recognises the services of our diggers in the various conflicts around the world. Recommended.

I did not know about this until I was in Albury and had a look to see what interesting sites to visit. This came up and after visiting it, I would say this is a must visit attraction if you are in the are. The monument is beautifully built and at the same time you get a beautiful view of Albury. There is a small forest (gumtree) next to the monument. I would recommend to visit later in the afternoon especially in summer to have a nice sunset view of the city. They do have toilet facilities up at the location.
