We enjoyed a brief repeat visit to these long-established gardens.
Everything was neat and tody with two Council gardeners hard at work removing palm fronds.
The grass was green, there was plenty of seating and the temperature was pleasant, though little sun as it was autumn.
Overall a nice little walk, complemented by the 100 year old entrance.
Don't miss the obelisk highlighting the Hume (of Hume and Hovell explorer fame) tree site. Those men were marvellous pioneers and deserve much bigger recognition than they typically receive from Australian schoolteachers today.

Our group organised breakfast in the park and a coffee cart as well. The park was a perfect venue and in amazing condition.

Smaller than expected, but very well maintained and extensively planted with a wide range of plants. A pleasant place to relax and walk

Beautiful gardens, plenty for to do for the kids. There is a secret garden for the kids to play around, including a giant dinosaur to take pictures with. Little hand crafted sculptures also to play around, and lovely manicured gardens. Outside the play area there are ponds with gold fish worth looking at.

Stunning , mature trees , so tall, so many varieties .As well, a beautifully designed traditional Botanic Garden . I have seen a lot of gardens and I loved this, even with trees not in leaf .

Chanced upon the garden by accident, when walking back down from Monument Hill - the gardens area delight, even in winter. The best part was the children's garden, tucked away in one corner of the garden - it was great to see so many families enjoying it.

Visited the gardens for the second time. This time it was autumn and the deciduous trees were turning various shades of yellow orange and red. Such a beautiful tranquil place

Such a nice peaceful and tranquil park. It’s free and the facilities are great. Probably the cleanest park toilets I have ever visited as well. Kudos to the park staff.
