It was really a horrible experience with sand dune adventures. Some staffs, they don’t know how to behave with customers. Really, never coming back again.

What an amazing experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was a bit nervous but the team made sure everyone was relaxed and enjoyed themselves. We were a large group and divided up so more confident riders could do more challenging hills and go faster and the less confident riders could take it slower and take in the sights. We learned about the life of the Worimi People and some of the resources from the area they used. We even got to see some eagles flying past. It felt very safe, was interesting and lots of fun!

The Worimi Sand Dunes was an absolutely breathtaking and grounding experience. We went there for a work retreat with the Murrook cultural centre. From the beautifully spiritual cultural presentation from Rachel to the adventure among the dunes (thanks to the weather Gods) - it was an absolutely mesmerising experience!

Thanks to the team for their dedication, care and hospitality.

I booked a trip to "Worimi Sand Dune Quad Bike Adventure " for my husband's birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly supportive, and the desert landscape was breathtaking. The activities were thrilling yet safe. We both had a blast, and I can't wait to go back. Highly recommended for anyone seeking adventure and a great time!

Having done all the usual sand dunes activities the quad biking was the highlight. Friendly staff, well maintained bikes and they cater for levels. My wife opted out of the slow group as she didn’t feel comfortable going down the dunes so they took her around them and she had a great time.

I’ll be back in a few weeks with my 16 year old son.

l loved the sand dunes quad bike tour. The dunes are fantastic, with some high ones to drive down. The quads were easy to get the hang of, and our lead tour guy was very nice. We were a small group and did two long chunks of driving with a small rest stop in the middle to take photos and chat. I had a great time and really recommend the experience.

The guide looks after us very well for first timers and our safety has been their priority. Will do it again in the future.

I am deeply disappointment with my recent visit to Sand Dune Adventures. While the bikes and scenery were commendable, the overall experience was overshadowed by the frustration and discrimination that I encountered.

To begin, when asked to choose between a "fast" or "medium" group, I eagerly opted for the "fast" option. However, shortly after starting the activity, I was redirected to another group without any prior notification. This sudden change left me confused and frustrated, particularly because the new group was considerably slower and had a shorter course. I inquired with the group leader if this was the "fast group" I had initially selected, to which he responded dismissively, "Oh no, you've been placed in this one for some reason." Later on, at one of the stops, one of the leaders allowed me to move towards the back of the "fast group," but I still had to continuously brake and come to a stop to avoid colliding with the riders ahead.

At the lookout point, I politely requested to be allowed at the front, as the situation had become increasingly absurd. However, the leader laughed in my face and callously replied, "No, you can't." Furthermore, after pointing out a whale in the distance, he condescendingly said, "It's about 300 meters out—do you know how far 300m is?" My father, who was with me during this ordeal, can attest to these incidents.

In summary, despite my repeated requests to be placed at the front, my pleas were ignored. I did not receive the experience I paid for, and I left feeling immensely frustrated.

I am not one to usually complain or leave negative reviews, but I firmly believe that this cannot be the first (and won’t be the last) instance where a young woman has been unfairly judged based on her appearance, discriminated against, and consequently deprived of the experience she paid for.

I have participated in quad biking numerous times before, and I have always been allocated a spot at the very front. Comparatively, this was one of the slowest groups I have ever been a part of. I have never encountered such a disappointing experience.

While my father, whom I brought along as a gift, had a slightly better experience than mine as he was positioned close to the front (historically, I have consistently driven significantly faster than him—I am known as the lead foot of the family), he was nonetheless appalled and affected by the situation.

I shared my experience over email with the company and waited for a response before putting up this review, however everything was denied and I was accused of "not being able to keep up" (an absolute joke). I was not provided with an apology nor a refund. Total waste of money and total disappointment

Sand Dune Adven... Q
Hi Jasmine, Thanks for providing feedback on your experience. We take all concerns seriously and have both filed and investigated your complaint with the Guides and; we have received the following feedback from them as a result: The Guides recall the tour well and it has been communicated: 1. You had fallen behind at the first sand dune field (on the flat area) and therefore, you were placed in the slower group; 2. At your request; the Guide placed you on the back of the faster group (for safety reasons) and it was noticed that you continued to struggle to keep up? 3. It was explained that you only had to continually brake, at those times, when ALL of the group was required to slow down (due to the landscape conditions?) 4. The comment about the whale and 300m was not intended to be condescending at all. The Guide stated that he was merely excited that the whales had arrived and was trying to explain exactly how far out it was? 5. The leader of the fast group was a female; providing evidence that we “do not” discriminate or dictate our tours based on Gender. We can appreciate your feedback however; this does not give any truth to the perception/accusation of our Guides being discriminatory towards our clients. We have NUMEROUS (experienced and beginners) ladies on our tours, the majority of whom are VERY competent and ride better than their respective partners and/or friends. Clearly you were expecting something that differed from you experience however; the sand dunes are ever-changing and therefore; the speed is completely dictated by the landscape (and the lead guide); so as to ensure that everyone ‘returns safety’ to the carpark. This is our priority and is not negotiable, nor compromised as a result of client hopes and expectations (pressures put on the Guides) etc. We recognise as Guides; that we have people’s welfare in our hands and we can ill-afford to behave inappropriately and/or leave anyone behind! That said; we are just as concerned as the client riding in the front; as the one that is at the back! We welcome feedback (good or bad) and expect nothing other than ‘honest reviews’ and, if going too slow is yours, than we will take this on board. What is unfair; based on your personal experience (and without truly knowing the Guide/person), is an assertion of them being bias towards women or young girls – this is NOT the case. That said; we will be sure to partake in further discussions and toolbox workshops about this very subject matter. The SDA Team
