Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time sand boarding for all of us and great company to do it with. Light rain and cooler actually made it really good... take camera phone & water, place to leave bags. Will be back again.

Had a great time on the sand dunes and what a beautiful spot these guys have to share on the tour! The dunes make for a very impressive backdrop for some quad biking.
The guides were great and the bikes easy enough to operate. The group was mostly made of those keen to go a bit faster but also really understanding of those who preferred a bit of a slower scenic road too. No pressure to do more than you're comfortable with at all.
Definitely rate the quality of the ride, the views and the team.
A heads up to fellow travellers - there's no toilet facilities (currently closed for covid reasons). There is a Macca's / servo close by so plan a stop there before hand.

What an amazing experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was a bit nervous but the team made sure everyone was relaxed and enjoyed themselves. We were a large group and divided up so more confident riders could do more challenging hills and go faster and the less confident riders could take it slower and take in the sights. We learned about the life of the Worimi People and some of the resources from the area they used. We even got to see some eagles flying past. It felt very safe, was interesting and lots of fun!

The Worimi Sand Dunes was an absolutely breathtaking and grounding experience. We went there for a work retreat with the Murrook cultural centre. From the beautifully spiritual cultural presentation from Rachel to the adventure among the dunes (thanks to the weather Gods) - it was an absolutely mesmerising experience!
Thanks to the team for their dedication, care and hospitality.

Me and my sister had an absolute blast at sand dune adventures, the tour guides were all awesome and so lovely(one of them even pointed out some whales when we were at the top of the dunes). Riding the quads was so fun but we both felt safe and confident with the instructions given by the guides. We are so happy we chose to go through them and will definitely be going back again! Couldn’t recommend enough!!

We had an awesome experience. The guides were friendly, especially Alan. We got to get up to some great speeds and going down the highest sand dunes was amazing.
It was so simple with check in & meeting them at the location to hop straight on the quad bikes.
I would highly recommend this company for a great experience.

An absolute letdown.
This trip to Australia is our first holiday in more than 10 years, and quadbiking was one of our most look-forward-to highlights. We ended up leaving Port Stephens with our children feeling disheartened by how poorly we were treated.
We purchased the tour for 2:30pm and received the notifications that we needed to arrive half an hour before.
However, perhaps due to the weather conditions at the sand dunes from the previous activities, our younger son did not feel well and had 2 episodes of stomach upsets from vomiting and diarrhoea which held us up a little.
We tried to get there on time, but only managed to reach the meeting venue around 2:25pm. The front desk staff despite noticing our presence and loss upon entering the venue, ignored us until we approached for help.
Our polite enquiries to see if there are anything else we could have done like catching up to the rest of the group ourselves were all cut off and returned with hostility and rudeness.
The office staff showed clear reluctance to help and we could not even answer our children when asked why we were given looks of disdain by the staff.
We were neither rude nor unreasonable, and we did not even request for any refunds as we are aware that we are not entitled to any refunds for any reason.
How we were treated is completely unjustified and there is absolutely no reason for us to be receiving this kind of service when our tour is still being fully paid for.
We do not expect understanding for the hiccups that we faced. However, a display of kindness and respect from SDA could definitely have left us feeling better for missing our tour.

I booked a trip to "Worimi Sand Dune Quad Bike Adventure " for my husband's birthday, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly supportive, and the desert landscape was breathtaking. The activities were thrilling yet safe. We both had a blast, and I can't wait to go back. Highly recommended for anyone seeking adventure and a great time!

Loved this tag along tour. Could do it over and over again. Staff were polite and helpful and it was a great experience.
Views on the dunes were unbelievable.
Special mention to Scott and Sharna in the office who help locate our bnb keys 😅 (too much fun on the quads)

We have 5 year old twins, would this be suitable for us, would we double them, how would it work

Hi. Is there a viewing platform or anywhere to watch? My son is going on his adventure and I would like to watch him and take photos?
Written 22 August 2018
No viewing area. Once they leave the assembly area the riders cannot be seen until they return. There is a quad your son could double you on if you’re game.

Hi, just wanted to ask can my 5 yr old ride with me?
Written 23 April 2017
Hi,
Th only option we have is the child would ride with our experienced tour guide as they ride a 2 seater quad bike that they can be doubled with.

Hi, my husband and I are thinking of visiting stockton dunes this weekend. I am a photographer and interested in heading out on a quad bike to try to capture the dunes. Are we able to rent quad bike without going on a tour? Thanks. Pam

No you are not allowed to ride on the sand dunes they r protected private property only able to go with guides and private tour groups we know this as we have a four WD and wanted to ride ourselves the tour guide stops at certain places to take pictures
