This cinema offers a wonderful introduction to the Fiordlands. Go 15 minutes early and get a beverage / snacks from the Black Dog bar connected to the cinema.

Large seats that you can get very comfortable in. Nice option being able to purchase cheesecakes or coffees to eat during the movie. It pays to book ahead if it is during the school holidays. It's a bit pricey.

We enjoyed a beer & a delicious hot chocolate as we watched the Fiordland documentary. We appreciated the spacious seating arrangement after a long walk through a small section of the national park. It's definitely worth visiting :) thank you for accommodating us

The theater itself was excellent as was the film 'ATA WHENUA'. DO NOT BUY THE DVD and expect it to be exactly like the film you saw. The theater film version was exciting. The DVD I purchased was redundant and music boring.More
