I'm actually surprised to see only 20 reviews so far considering how great the experience was. To start out, we got a pretty cool history lesson of Lake Manapouri and the accompanying power plant. When we got on the boat, we were greeted with the...More

A really great trip, with tasty food and sociable hosts. Opportunity to be active and to relax with kayaking, fishing and wildlife spotting. The area benefits from its isolation, so don't expect to see hords of other tourists. Thanks to Clint and Kirsten.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay on Doubtful Sound. I am glad we paid the extra to have our own en-suite, but there was nothing wrong with the shared facility on the vessel. The food was very good and plentiful. No way would anyone go...More
