We turned up on spec for a tasting that had no cover charge. We were told we'd be able to taste 5 wines but the cellar was quite quiet once a party had left and staff were in a chatty mood and enthusiastic to find us wines we would like. We tasted 7 or was it 8? All really lovely... More

On our wine tour we stopped at Chard Farms. This winery makes an amazing Pinot Noir that I ended up buy a few bottles of.

My partner Claire and I enjoyed some beautiful wine here at Chard Farm one cold winters afternoon The Pinot Gris was an absolute delight and is definitely recommended The only slight down side, the area for tasting can get a little cramped quite quickly and with people queuing to pay at the till for purchases, it leaves little room for... Great little winery on the outskirts of Queenstown, situated on the original dirt track road to town. A great selection of wines that can luckily be found in the UK too (many NZ wines are domestic only) tasting is 6 wines each for 10$ which is refundable if you purchase and is donated to local charities of you don't. Would... More

Chard Farm was a terrific experience, from the winding, cliffside, offroad 2km driveway (wife was panicking) to the immaculate wines showcasing the region. Tried two different chardonnay, both different but flavoursome and precise. The pinot noirs were amazing, with the Mata-Au being my favourite for the balance between fruit, minerals, acidity and tannins. Free shipping for case to Oz, otherwise... More

A tight, winding dirt road with great scenery leads you to this charming winery. It was busy when we visited but the host made us very welcome. Everyone should find a wine to suit their taste here. Free delivery to Aus. Was great for us. Highly recommend a visit here.

This winery is along the highway north out of Queenstown, you will see it on your right side. The Little gravel road to the winery after the turn of will take your breath away. It is 2 km of narrow and exciting road. Only that is Worth a visit. And the winery, well one of my Central Otago favourites, charming... More

Absolutely stunning spot! Pauline was a fabulous hostess and we were able to try some really delicious wines. We highly recommend a visit here as part of your wine tour of the Ottago region.

We have visited this winery over the years and have fond memories of Tiger Thompson running the tastings. Well, they have a more than adequate replacement in Pauline who was our hostess. Great knowledge of her wines, and prepared to do a few things differently including a blind tasting when she thought it would be beneficial. Don't be afraid to... More
