Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Instructor is knowledgeable and well organized, Jetski's are good quality and fast. You get to take your own ski out with a wide area to test the speed. Great fun. Definitely be back.

Rented a jet ski for half an hour for my partner and I, and we both had a blast! The area itself was pretty spacious and you had plenty of space to zoom around on the jet ski. Definitely one of the top 5 things to do in Queenstown during the summer!

We had a great experience with our first jet ski hire. Seth was friendly, told us what we needed to know & unleashed us to enjoy speed on the lake. Loved it

Booked half day Stabi boat. We rang ahead on the day as weather was poor and I noticed there were wind warnings on the forecast. Assured all would be fine.
Arrived early and it was a little chaotic. There were 2 young members of staff. The guy was working like a demon while the girl seemed out of her depth.
Boat was ok but not comfortable for a half day. We had hoped to do some fishing but the lake was far too choppy. We were restricted by the weather to a fairly small area as when we tried to get out onto the main lake the waves were far too high to make it enjoyable.
In the end we gave up an hour early as it was too cold and choppy.
Whilst we appreciate that the company have no control over the weather we think perhaps they should have advised us that the conditions were not really suitable.
I would not hire that particular type of boat again either. It was quite basic and sounded like an old tin bath when bouncing on the waves.

I had an amazing time with the water ‘jet boots’ a few days ago. The session is organised through Water sport world near Frankton Queenstown and they were really good. The main instructor Dean got my wife and I wetsuits and life vests and explained how the jet boots worked on the jetty, then we took turns in the water trying to ‘fly’ using the jet boots.
You’re attached by a water hose to the instructor’s jet ski, the water hose provides the water to your jet boots. After a few tries we were making short ‘flights’ up into the air - before losing our balance and falling back into the lake. It doesn’t hurt at all but you may end up with lake water up your nose if you fall backwards - we did. It was amazing fun! Exhilarating, hilarious, satisfying and very, very different to the routine adventure sports activities available elsewhere.
The support crew at watersportworld were great too. I really wanted to go back the next morning for another go but had a pre-booked tour and then had to drive to Christchurch. I can not recommend it enough. :-)

Two young people managing this hire company the manager we asked for not there. Finally hired a 6 person what they termed luxury boat for three hours very expensive.. we had fun regardless before I expand on the bewares. With 3 experienced boat owners on board several issues with the boat prop etc were apparent. Life jackets old smelly and bulky. Boat only barely clean?Whilst we made it fun. I would not recommend this as an activity. Sadly...as it could be great....

Funniest thing in Queenstown, we rented the jet skis for one hour, in around 25 minutes we arrived at Bob's Cove (great spot) and had a quick and cold swim.
The jet skis are fast and safe, keep in mind it might get cold after a swim.
Great value for money, another must do in Queenstown !

So me and my brother went and hit the jet ski's. Honestly the most fun I have had on a ski before. I have riden in the uk, Bali Australia and Kuala Lumpur but nothing compares to the scenery in Queenstown. The fact that the staff were packed and looking tired did not stop them from holding big smiles and a positive attitude. We will be going back soon and I garentee we shall enjoy every second of it.

Whilst in Queenstown, we wanted to get out on the water, but didn't want to pay exorbitant Queenstown prices for a tour. This small outfit is really in Frankton, but only 10mins drive from centre of Queenstown. The manager on duty was having a busy day so seemed maybe not at his best, but we managed to rent SUPs with wetsuits and life-jackets for a reasonable price. Great view of The Remarkables- really enjoyable.
