Vertigo Bikes was born from Tim Ceci’s love of mountain biking. Guiding MTB trips is the only professional job he’s ever had! Joined a few years later by Paul ‘Pang’ Pangus, Vertigo has become THE Bike Shop in Queenstown. Still rider owned and operated, we are a one-stop shop for all your biking needs; be it guiding, heli-biking, coaching, bike sales, workshop or transport, we’ve got it all covered. We pride ourselves on being a small, yet perfectly formed company, which has an unparalleled enthusiasm for all things biking in Queenstown. We have an amazing group of individuals working for us who offer really great service and an unbeatable product. When you ride with our crew you’ll learn new skills & experience the thrills of Queenstown’s incredible terrain. Join us for a ride & make the most of it!

The guys at the store are awesome. It was the first time for me on a downhill bike. They recommended me the best trails to get used to the downhill bike. My chain jumped out of the chain guard (I don't know how..) and they repaired it in a sec so I could go again to the trails. Didn't regret... More

Got myself a Giant Glory to do a little downhill. I love mountain biking so it was a no brainer for me. I was alway going to have fun. I mean ride down hill.... then catch the chair lift up and do it again!? How is that not going to be awesome. I do have one gripe though. I personally... More

Thanks for the feedback Heath - it is a rental bike so will never be perfectly set up for you like your own bike for example. All our rental bikes go through a full parts checklist as well as a service checklist when they come back from a rental, whether that rental has been for 2 hours or 2 weeks.... More

Hadn't been riding for a (very long) while but saw a brochure for these guys and thought I would try it out. So glad I did! The trails are incredible and I think doable and very fun even with decent riding experience (or a long lapse). Their downhill bikes are a blast to ride (even just their normal line) and... More

We used Vertigo bikes twice while in Queenstown, the first time they pointed us out on a ride around Moke lake which was a great day out, stunning views and the bikes where perfect. We had taken our own helmets and gloves etc but they will lend you some quality ones if you don't have your own. The next time... More

I sent my bike down from out of town and had them set it up so when I arrived it was all good to go. They were great at troubleshooting any issues with my bike and fixing stuff as I broke it during my time down there, largely at Skyline MTB park. If you're from out of town and need... More

The service and friendly staff quickly got us on our way speedily and an excellent electric bike allowed us to go about 80 KMs with relative ease to admire the most wonderful country surrounding Queenstown. Everything worked well, and we returned tired but contented

80 k's? VERY impressive, even on an e-bike. Well deserved beverages afterwards I bet! Thanks again for your feedback. More

I rented a range of bikes from Vertigo on my trip to Queenstown including a Glory 1, Glory Advanced and the Reign Advanced. I was really impressed by the shape the rental bikes are kept in, everything was in great condition.
