My partner and I went to the winery in Queenstown for a wine and potential purchase to drink later on. We had heard great things about this wine bar and wanted to try it out. My partner and I were helped by a super lovely consultant names Chris. He recommended some amazing Pinot Noirs from Central Otago (can’t be in central without trying some of the local goodness) and some amazing international wines for us to try. We ended up buying on Chris’s recommendations some lovely Côte du Rhônes which he referred to as “smoky bacon wines” and we just loved. Thank you Chris for being so amazing! We can’t wait to come back again for a wine and more wine chat!!! If you’re in QT, go to The Winery!!!!!

Great place to try loads of different wines without the price tag of a vineyard! A huge selection to choose from and you can mix and match varieties as much as you like!

We had come across the ‘self serve’ wine tasting machines before in the UK but not seen them in NZ. Such as great concept - you get a ‘debit card’ and select your choice of wine then choice of tasting size for as many wines as you’d like to try. The ability to then order a cheese platter to enjoy with the wines was an added bonus. Will definitely be back!
