Immerse yourself in an authentic New Zealand experience in some of the world’s most amazing scenery. The adventure begins in Queenstown, moves along Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy before heading into the pristine Dart River Valley and the World Heritage area of Mount Aspiring National Park. Enjoy the rich cultural heritage of this area overlooked by Te Koroka, the mythical sleeping giant in the hills famed for its abundance of pounamu. This truly is some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery and includes mountains, glaciers, alpine lakes and ancient beech forest which have formed a recogniseable backdrop to Middle Earth and many other well know movies. Both jet boating and kayak tours are available ensuring that both adrenaline lovers and those looking for a more leisurely and immersive experience are catered for.

We jet-boated up the Dart River in 2015 and, on our second trip to NZ, we were eager to return and give the Funyak trip a go. We are very glad we did! Much as we loved the jet-boat experience a couple of years ago,...More

Enjoyed the boat ride with great view of the mountains. The water looks really nice too. Would be fun to do kayaking. Do bring a pair of sunglasses as I did the ride in the afternoon and the sun was really glaring.

Really enjoyed our Dart River Wilderness jet boat experience. It was a great ride and very educational as well. Royce was a good captain as well as guide. We also enjoyed learning about the beach trees and native plant life.

I didn't have nay issues on this trip and I cannot do anything that has any spinning. The 360 turns are done one at a time - not several in a row. Hope this helps!
