We thoroughly enjoyed this overnight cruise to Milford Sound. We drove ourselves to the boat wharf and boarded at 4.30pm. Our only criticism of the trip was that the boat starts moving straight away while you are down below opening your cabin up so you miss the first part of the sightseeing. We dumped our bags and came straight up... More

If your time is limited in Queenstown, don't feel bad if you cant go to Milford sound. Dont get me wrong the place is stunning, but it takes up a whole day of your trip. I have read reviews where they say this place is beautiful in any weather but we got so much rain that half my family did... More

I had booked the Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise. But the day before I had a medical emergency that required an ambulance to take me to the hospital in Dunedin. On the way I contacted Real Journeys to let them know I would not be able to make it. They thanked me for the notice. Upon my release from the hospital... More

We took the afternoon "nature cruise" on a sunny day shortly after days of rain. A perfect scenario. There were waterfalls aplenty, seals lazing on rocks, sea birds diving for fish. This cruise goes out to the mouth of the fjord. What made this experience for us was the knowledgeable and humorous commentary (by young Kiwi, Blair).

I would absolutely go with another one of the many vendors available for the Milford Sound day cruise. We had a horrible experience and what's worse, their customer service took weeks to reply and was no help at all. The coach for the 5-hour bus trip (each way) was way outdated and uncomfortable. The ship was MUCH too small to... More

I did the overnight cruise on the doubtful sound. Excellent ship ("Navigator"), nice guest rooms, tasty food, friendly crew. Starts off with a ferry ride across a lake to a bus which the brings you over a mountain pass to the area where the ship is docked. Tour included a tour guide who know a lot about the geography and... More

This cruise commenced at 4.30pm when we were met on board given our cabin keys. The cabins are very good, clean and comfortable. Kayaking was provided for those interested and also the option of jumping in. The buffet dinner was served table by table which was rather slow we thought. Overall it was a nice experience but we all felt... More

This is a bucket list thing to do on a trip! The boat and the staff are lovely, food and accommodation great! We stayed in our own little cabin, it was basic but comfy, just perfect after a long day of taking in the views of the Sounds. We saw plenty of wildlife on our cruise, penguins, dolphins, seals and... More

We were anticipating that Milford Sound would be the highlight of our tour of both islands of New Zealand. This boat tour was excellent in showing us around the fjord, but we were disappointed that Milford Sound did not measure up to all the hype given it by others. Certainly it is worth seeing with the tall steep cliffs towering... More
