A good place to take those family photos at the base of the water tower. It is easy to find and handy to Queens Park with parking for your car near by.

Easily viewed from many parts of the town the tower is most picturesque at night when it is lit up by spotlights.

I've stopped and took pictures a few times, not been in as it's closed when I've been. The park surrounding it is nice and there's a park across the road too

The water tower is not accessible but it is still a good spot to take photos from the outside. It is located near the Queen's Park.

Ten minutes up the road from our Motel we decided to go and view the tower. Unfortunately you cannot go up it because of earthquake fears. Not everyone's choice to take time to visit.

This is an iconic building in Invercargill and if nothing else, must be photographe3d. Unfortunately it is no longer accessible due to concerns over earthquake damage but nevertheless is worth a look in my opinion
