The garden is broken into various sections. The easy to reach parts are stunningly beautiful. The harder to reach parts have aspects that are of interest to the plantsman (or woman). However it pays to have footware for hiking to reach these parts of the garden. Not for those unsure on slopes. The rhododendrons were fabulous and well worth seeing.... More

I was with a group of gardeners staying at Larnach Castle for a few days & was told this garden is a must see!! We were not disappointed. The spring flowers in the morning dew were a beautiful sight! The natural setting & it's age give this garden a romantic timeless feel, reminiscent of many of the old UK gardens.... More

Glenfalloch Gardens has the most gorgeous rhododendrons and azaleas in bloom in October and November each year. It's a real pleasure to stroll through the gardens, not just then but at any time. Off the road for a quiet green experience.

The short drive to the gardens along the sea is also wonderful. The lovely rolling established gardens are delightful at a distance as well a up close. Also enjoyed the café there. Nice please to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The gardens located on the beautiful Dunedin peninsula are an interesting stop for a walk after a lovely lunch in their restaurant, or to pick up one of their electric bikes for a cycle along the peninsula.

Took the kids here in the school holidays for the gnome hunt and definitely need to go back more often. The cafe although a kind of strange look to it for a cafe/restaurant serves great food and good coffee! It's a donation entry so it's perfect for the budget minded and the gardens have a multitude of beautiful spots to... More

Beautiful place with nice little walks through the pretty gardens with a beautiful view. This place has a fantastic restaurant that we went to several times while staying at the Yellow House B&B just down the road. The restaurant was great for lunch - high quality food at reasonable prices with sit-down, white-table-cloth service.

My heritage is Scottish! We had a traditional tea and then were treated to some traditional dancing by 2 lovely young ladies, one of whom would be representing the area in a competition in Auckland a few weeks. They were so good. Our guide did a presentation of Hagass and my husband ate some and said it was good. The... More

We had a special family occasion and wanted to have lunch somewhere a little bit out of the ordinary so decided on Glenfalloch. On the day the weather was grey and wet but from the minute we started walking up the path we were in a different world. The trees, particularly the maples, had their autumn colours on display. We...
