While the tour was not of the factory and not watching the chocolate being made. It was more about the history and how different chocolates are made at the dunedin factory. The chocolates you recieve 5 or 6 are not top selling chocolates but unique to the dunedin factory and outside new zealand and Australia you cannot get these chocolates.... More

Oh come on folks, give them a break. Rebecca was our guide and she was great. It was very interesting and it is understandable that they don't allow you on the factory floor. They would have to shut the plant down every time someone sneezes. The chocolate water fall was unexpected and pretty cool and the free tasting of the... More

We did the tour today and it was a lot of fun, I've been a few times when I was at school and it has changed since then but it is still worth it. Our guide Louis was Fantastic and very funny. Anyone travelling to New Zealand should look into this tour. The amount of chocolate you get also won't... More

I was really excited about visiting here with my 4 and 1 year olds. I had previously toured the Cadbury Factory in Tasmania so was expecting a similar experience. When my husband went to book a tour, he was told quite bluntly that our 1 year old could not do the tour as there were over 160 stairs. We said... More

$44 for two adults for about $3 worth of samples of what not is popular. You don't see any manufacturing of chocolate. The guide was the only thing entertaining. Went to the factory in Tasmania 30 years ago which beat thus hands down.

Our tour Friday 17th Feb 2017 was great. We have done it before and we did it with the kids this time. Our tour guide Sharif was every entertaining the further enhancing the experience in a great way. Our kids loved it and I do hope you keep Cadbury in New Zealand

Short version: I would skip it. This tour offers a fairly shallow look into the chocolate production process. You don't get to see any actual production (perhaps there are good safety reasons for this). One room has a large textual outline of how cocoa beans are turned into chocolate -- good info, but cheaper to read Wikipedia -- and another... More

I cant eat chocolate but i loved the little tour, i went with a teenage girl and she also loved it to bits. It's very informative and my guide made it even better! The free chocolate goodie bag was amazing, the taste testing was also great and the shop at the end was cheap and just great overall. Would recommend... More
