On a roasting afternoon in Christchurch, we rented a kayak for an hour. The guys were really friendly and cheery as well as helpful. Its relatively cheap and really pleasant to just wander down the Avon seeing more of the gardens and wildlife.

Always a joy. Captured someone else having a brilliant time. Spring along the Avon is perfection from a boat.

It was a lovely sunny day and we decided to rent a tandem kayak to explore the river. You rent the kayak for 30 minutes and it comes with the paddles. You basically paddle down to the fourth bridge against the current and then glide...More

We came here and went kayaking, was an awesome activity, suitable for all ages. Staff were friendly and helped the kids get in and out of the kayaks.

The boat sheds offer a lovely 60-minute do-it-yourself expedition by canoe. The paddle down the river is delightful on a sunny day. After your ride, you can enjoy lunch at the adjacent cafe.

The Antigua Boat Sheds are historical Edwardian style wooden sheds and are over 130 years old. The sheds overlook the Avon river. They are also the point for renting kayaks and for Punting rides on the Avon.

A bit pricy but food , portions and service were good. Our group of 6 had fish, lamb sandwich, eggs Benedict, nachos and we all enjoyed it.

One of my favourite places to see in Christchurch! Visiting only once a month and they remember my name and beverage order. Now that's service. Great food and perfect location. A must do when here !
