Perfect place! Had a catch up which involved 4 kids between 4-7. This place was perfect. Flying foxes, huge fields for kicking the ball around, swings, great hide and seek location and easy sitting places for the parents. We only played at the playground but...More

This is an awesome place to take a picnic and either walk on the beach or take the kids to the playground or go to adrenaline forest ! You could spend the whole day here. Definitely worth a visit.

Spencer Park is a well kept secret in Christchurch. It is twenty minutes out of town but is a conservationist's delight. A large ranging area with walks through seaside native vegetation to a wild beach with crashing waves. Even watching the waves is an experience...More

Great fun to be had at the park and pool. Make sure you go and visit the animals. Chickens and pigs tucked away, free to pet, could be better sign posted

This is one of the largest parks in Christchurch and offers lots of fun for families with a car. Free barbecues and a large playground plus plenty of grass to run around on. Some large picnic sites can be booked by groups.

The wide ocean of Spencer Park Beach was amazing. It was exactly what we all needed - an afternoon playing on the beach. Definitely could have spent a lot longer there. Gorgeous.
