This would be my favourite beach in Christchurch for the only reason that it is so sheltered that the waters are so calm and waves never seem to visit. It therefore is perfect for young families or those that don't like waves or an onshore...More

Corsair Bay was amazing, such a sheltered little spot. Hidden down a wee pathway. Love that it has a grass area and sand area available.

Littleton harbor is beautiful corsair bay is protected from all winds except a southerly has lots of swimmers. Cold in the winter, looses sun early. Regularly has Hector dolphins if you he'd out a little further in kayak.

I go here all the time as it's a great swimming spot - gets pretty crowded in summer though. New food truck in car park too for ice creams and drinks etc. But please take your rubbish away with you!

No. 1 beach in Christchurch area if you want to swim, as you can swim out to a pontoon in the small bay, or further out if you are keen. Warmer than the open ocean. Check high tide times by Googling Lyttelton high tide (best...More

Just a wee jewel of a bay for a swim. Water doesn't get too deep too quickly, it's warm, and even though it's popular, it doesn't get too crowded. Bit of a downhill hike to get down to it, but the path is good. Seating...More

The Council closes gates after 8.30 pm, so no worries. Just check times as enter the parking area first.
