We went to Corsair Bay on Waitangi Day for a picnic. A lovely spot for anyone. Great playground for the children plus a very safe swimming bay which doesn’t get too deep too quick.

The views around the bay are stunning. We stopped and visited a place where my husband stayed 50 years ago. It is almost as if things haven’t changed much in that time. A peaceful, pleasant spot.

A beautiful view and place to stop on the drive. Children walked down small path and can imagine a beautiful place to swim in summer.

We love Corsair for a family picnic tea. The water is sometimes warm enough for adults and children seem to jump in regardless of the temperature. On a hot summer evening however, lots of other people have the same idea. It is better to go...More

This would be my favourite beach in Christchurch for the only reason that it is so sheltered that the waters are so calm and waves never seem to visit. It therefore is perfect for young families or those that don't like waves or an onshore...More

Corsair Bay was amazing, such a sheltered little spot. Hidden down a wee pathway. Love that it has a grass area and sand area available.

The Council closes gates after 8.30 pm, so no worries. Just check times as enter the parking area first.
