Canterbury Museum to me is one of the best in NZ. Great history behind stone walls. It is a must to see when visiting Christchurch

Went specifically to see the Air NZ 75th Anniversary Exhibition. It was fantastic, very interactive and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. It was a very popular exhibition which we would definitely go back to on another trip to Christchurch. Could certainly spend a day looking at the other interesting exhibits. Can't wait to return. Totally recommend a visit... More

This museum is free of charge. It's a Nice Collection from the history and cultural development of the Area. It's worth your time, but a little bit shallow in background information for my Taste.

This is a fine way to spend a couple of hours, especially on a rainy day as we had during our visit. And it is all free admission except for an... More

What a wonderful, quirky museum. First of all who new you could have so much variety in one location. The temporary exhibit on Air New Zealand was fabulous!! It is a must do and was a perfect way to avoid the rain on the day we went!

This is undoubtedly one of the most diverse museums I've ever been to, with a wide variety of interesting and engaging exhibitions, stories, and displays.
