An enjoyable visit to Moa Brewery and Bar. A busy and popular place for good reason. Sampled 5 good brews and staff friendly and informative. Loved their cider too. Would come back again when back in the region to try out those lovely companion cheeses talked about. Recommended.

Initially stop to enjoy the cider but they suggested visiting the nearby town for lunch. Came back and enjoyed the company of a number of people who were sampling the fine beer on offer at MOA. Highly recommended

I had no idea there would be a brewery on the wine route and luckily came across Moa. The atmosphere was great, very chilled out and we spent a nice afternoon relaxing on the bean bags, tasting beers and ciders.

We noticed throughout our trip in New Zealand that the service standards varied dramatically and the Moa Brewery Bar was no exception. We were enjoying a fabulous wine tour (Hop n Grape) when we dropped by to sample it's craft beers. The beers are superb but, oh dear, the guy conducting the tastings so obviously wanted to be somewhere else!... More

We stopped off here for a drink during our cycle through the wineries. we had very good and friendly service and wished we could have stayed longer. We bought some beers to take away with us and enjoyed them all!

We rolled in on a Thursday Afternoon. When we arrived we were the only ones there. We were asking by a gruff man if we needed any help. We asked if there was a food menu, we were firmly told there was no real food, he only does salmon, cheese and pies. His tone said if we don't like it,... More

After having so many of these beers in the past was great to pop in and have one from the bar at the brewery. Great spot to chill and lie on the bean bags in the sun accompanied by quality beers.

Josh Scotts shed....Need I say more. Of course the corporate shareholding have a made a few mis steps. Maybe they should be made to attend "Mass" here regularly to remember the culture and tenacity of the founder.

Visited recently and found Moa to have a great range of beers for such a small boutique brewery. It was also a great setting and would be quite easy to relax into a few hours sitting out the front. The barman (who does pretty much everything at Moa himself) was very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. The $5 tasting... More

Picton was not without a visit to Moa Brewing Co. Has a nice outside area with umbrellas and seating for those to enjoy. In front to the main building is a metal statue of the giant Moa Bird now extinct of course. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady who after some discussion told us she worked in Western Australia,our... More
