Nice City beach! With views,, cafes and toilets/showers next to the Freyberg pool. Didn’t swim but many swam

This is an artificial beach created early this century now with a heavier grade of sand (previous was so light it blew around).I expect very popular when the weather warms up but in Oct too cool.

During our very long walk of the Wellington waterfront, we stumbled upon this quiet and peaceful bay, we hung out here for a little while taking it all in.

Ignore the criminals and people with mental health and take in the views of the nature. it is beautiful. if the locals stay inside it is even more beautiful.

As this was our last day we walked along the sea front towards Oriental Bay to view the harbour for a different view,we had a nice lunch at the Boat Cafe which is moored in the harbour.

I always come across Oriental Bay to Freyberg pool. It is beautiful and serene by feeling the wind. Overall, it is the best place to jog, walk, work out and swim at Freyberg pool.

On a stunning Wellington day you couldn't find a more scenic place to walk, bike ride, skate board or whatever. The scenic harbour - another perspective of Wellington city, the hills dotted with houses, beach, superb.
Great that you can walk as much or as little as you want, and good to see people of all ages doing this.
Having lived in Wellington for much of my life, visiting yet again marvel at the beauty of this place..even more spectacular when the pohutukawa are flowering

We were lucky to visit on such a beautiful day. The beach is small but very clean and beautiful. You can ride one of the croc bikes around which is super fun! Parking can be hard to find if it's a busy day. The sheds are nice to photograph.

A lovely walk from downtown to Oriental Bay. We went in the evening so it had a different, serene vibe. When you go back you can easily take a different route downtown so you can see other stores and stuff :)
