Take a walk - Every day at 10.00am, Walk Wellington gives you an excellent introduction into this exuberant, walkable city and its people. Our guides have a deep knowledge and love of Wellington and enjoy helping to make your visit an absolutely positively fantastic experience. Walks take two to two and a half hours. We walk every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday, rain or shine, so it's best to dress to suit the weather. During the summer (December through March) take advantage of Wellington's long days with an evening walk on Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 5.00pm. Walk Wellington tours leave from the i-SITE Visitor Centre 111 Wakefield St at Cuba St, adjacent to Civic Square. Look for the guide in the bright, green vest! Our stand is just inside the doors on the left.

Peter was our guide. He was informative and knowledgeable on Wellington. Highlights were seeing the treaty at the library and the old St Paul's Cathedral. The walk was easygoing and took in the beautiful buildings around the waterfront and city centre.

Given the great reviews, I have only to add that I was led to Zealandia and the He Tohu exhibition by John L. I'm so glad I took this tour with him!

We have been to Wellington before but still found this two hour plus walking tour worthwhile. It was a bit difficult to find where the tour actually started on Civic Square. It seems there was a sign but it went with last year's earthquake. Perhaps...More
