You can drive or walk up the Mountain. I chose to drive and then took the stairs to the look out point. Beautiful Panoramic views. Great photo opportunities. Very windy even on a normal windy day.

This mount is situated right on the seaside near the city centre. It is easily accessible by foot, the walk up is very easy and well arranged, and with a normal physical condition takes around 1 hour. On the way up, you have many opportunities to stop and take a rest on charming banks, and you see plenty people doing... More

You get a great view of Wellington, just be sure to not go on a super windy day otherwise you run the risk of being blown away! Lovely to walk up to from Oriental Bay too, not just drive up.

Easy road access to the top and good parking. Then a short walk to the top. Go on a clear day and at the top you are rewarded with stunning views of Wellington and across the harbour to Lower Hutt. Go when the the wind is blowing and feel the exhilaration of Wellington winds.

Great place to see how unique Wellington is. The steep terrain, the houses perched on hillsides, the great harbour and green expances

We drove up Mt Victoria on our way back to the airport to fly home. It was a great drive from the city, around Oriental Bay, and up Mt Vic. It's very steep and my kids felt quite nervous but I think that's just the way Wellington is. After all, it's a hilly city. I thought it was a great... More

We really enjoyed our time at Mt. Victoria even though we couldn't see much at the summit because of the rainy conditions. The trails we went on were beautiful and well maintained. I'd love to go back!
