Free, one-hour guided tours of Parliament operate every day on the hour....

Free, one-hour guided tours of Parliament operate every day on the hour. Take a tour with one of our trained guides to visit key parts of Parliament's buildings and learn about our parliamentary processes, and have an insight in to New Zealand's history and culture. Tours operate seven days a week with the first tour at 10am, last tour 4pm. We recommend you arrive least 15 minutes before the tour departs as tour group sizes are limited and so you have time to check in your belongings. Everyone must leave their bags, coats, phones, cameras and other electronic devices in secure storage at the Visitor Centre in the Beehive. Individuals do not need to book. Groups of 10 or more are required to book their tour in advance. Specialist tours are avaiable on request but must be booked in advance.

Experience the Beehive

Only saw it from the outside, good name for it, grounds were well presented & other buildings, too late to do a tour.

Just nice to see but really not so special. The National Library nextdoors is a much nicer building and looks a lot better.

I was amazed when I first saw the building. I mistook this for any arts or culture center, but, later on, learnt that it was the Parliament Building. Although, I didn't venture inside the building, from outside the building looks very peculiar in shape and offers great backdrop for photographers.

Another free tour this time of Parliament buildings. We had a very enthusiastic tour guide who was very informative. If you go during the week you can enter and watch parliament during the debates

the tours are free and depart several times a day. Due to government business we were not able to see inside beehive building, but we did enjoy visiting the lobby of the old parlliament building and part of the beautiful library building.

The front yard is well cared for. We found that there was plenty of parking right out the front of here so no need to stress out finding a park. There was loads of beautiful space to explore and / or relax. It was a nice place to take our son.

This is a magnificent building right in the heart of Wellington. A free tour is offered. The most interesting part of this tour is the basement which has been built to be earthquake resistant. The tour is very informative about the regular political goings on. The guides don't bore you with too much political history but deal mainly with the... More
