For getting across the harbour or to islands like Somes island, these ferries have regular times and more on weekend

We experienced the best of Windy Wellington right here on the ferry to Matiu/Somes Island. Sitting up on the top deck offers spectacular views, but be prepared to be leave sprinkled with salt water. Well worth it though!

Only 5 ferry services a day during the weekend, and ours full of visitors and tourists. Why oh why is there no commentary, or warm greeting when you board? No acknowledgement when leaving, thank you or a smile. Staff looked scruffy and should be wearing...More
