Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hot tip: to see the same amazing views of Auckland, you can visit the Sky Bar for drinks, light bites and dessert for the same cost of the general admission. The 24k Gold Bar was voted an iconic dish to try and it was divine!
It’s a beautiful experience and great way to catch a sunset over the stunning city.

Apr 2022 • Friends
I had been to New Zealand in 2019 for Summer Camp.
Me and my friends went there with Tour-guide Instructor.
Now, I would like to giving a review the tourist place where I had been, there is “ Auckland Sky Tower “.
Let’s review this tourist attraction, this place is located
in the Auckland; The port-town on the North Island
in New Zealand. If you go on the top of the tower,
you will see all of the beautiful view around the Auckland.
There are small café, restaurant, and arcade game
on the tower. If you are looking for an Extreme Activity, you can do the Bungee-Jump.
If you want to visit here, you can go there by Taxi or Bus.

We were walking by so we walked in and got a ticket and went straight up. The 360’ views are awesome and give you a great picture of how the city is laid out. Easy and worthwhile.

Amazing views from the top of the Sky tower. The day we went up the weather wasn't perfect but we could still see a fair distance over Auckland. Good fun walking over the glass floor if you are brave enough!

Opened in 1997, at 328 m it is just a bit taller than the Eiffel Tower and the Shard; but quite a tall as Berlin’s Fernsehturm, and less than half the height of the unbeatable Dubai Burj Khalifa. You are at floor 51 in a matter of seconds and immediately captivated by the splendid views. It is easy to identify landmarks and there are labels to help. But take the lift higher to floor 60, and the views are even better! Somehow the extra height makes things seem bigger, closer. Before doing that, however you can walk down one from floor 51 to the café. This is a good and relatively cheap way of having a little food and drink on a tall tower. Most of them have revolving restaurants, as does this; but these come at a price. We got 2 panini and 2 drinks for NZD39. PS: by the way, the ticket office and entrance are underground, accessed from directly behind the tower.

Dominating the Auckland skyline, the sky tower is 3298 metres tall and was completed in 1997. It has a Sky restaurant, Sky walk, observation deck and is modestly priced at $32 to go up, sky walks and bungee jumps cost more. The lift, with glass walls and floor, takes 40 seconds to go up to floor 51 for fine views across the area, then another lift takes you up to floor 60. The gift shop felt somewhat understocked, though did wonder why they had a large display of men’s boxers, wonder if that was linked to the bungee jump!

This was awesome to do! I booked it for my daughters 14th birthday while we were staying in the city in a hotel. It was amazing, I hadn't been up there since she was around 3/4 years old, so she couldn't remember. We both loved it and found it super overwhelmingly high, which was cool - I wasn't sure if we'd find it as exciting as we did. We spent quite a bit of time up there and both loved it. Definitely worth doing, we were lucky it was a beautiful clear day and the views were breathtaking and oh so expansive. I booked through the bookme site to get a better price which was great as well.

Stunning views of beautiful Auckland, NZ and beyond. Love the story boards of how the tower was built.
We had a family member scared of heights but it’s very user friendly wth seats and railings to support where you want to move around to.
Absolutely look online first at ticket prices. Very disappointed to see the tickets were significantly cheaper online so we pulled ourself from the que and booked via our phones before proceeding.
Car parking is really expensive too. If you do park in the sky city car park take your ticket in with you and you can get it clipped when checking in to get 50% off. Federal St public car parking is a few metres away and cheaper

Tower is highest building on southern hemisphere offering complete viewpoint on New Zealand Island. You can also enjoy outside walk of even jump. I did not experience neither as it was rainy weather.
