An interesting shop with nice but high priced glass. The tour of the art works is $7.50 and by the pictures you would have expected them to be much larger. Glad to have seen it though

We enjoyed our visit to Lava glass for varied reasons firstly to watch the glassblowers at work, very informative and amazing watching the skill, such heat 1000 degrees celsius of the kilns. Also the cafe had fabulous food, l loved the salmon with poached eggs, generous breakfast ... and the shop had the most beautiful glass ware and glass jewellery.

Seeing classwork in a gallery is one thing, but here the art pieces are highlighted in a garden. Very effective.

It's not an overly pricey visit unless you intend on picking up a piece to take home. Really worth going and doing the viewing of the garden and the workshop elements to understand and see how it all can work from start to finish, You may only see a basic piece being put together so be sure to ask questions... We hadn't planned to stop here on the way to the Hukah Falls however we were glad that we had. The establishment has a very welcoming atmosphere, family run. The glass blowing is done in the shop attached to the souvenir and cafe shop. You can watch work being done first hard. The high end glass blown items represent various... More

Great to see how the articles are all made by paying a small fee to watch them at work. Prices of the items are a bit expensive but when you see what work going into making them you can understand why.

Gorgeous work by a very talented artist. There are a number of different displays. Be aware you need to pay to witness the glass blower at work. I feel this is a shame as I don't think many people are aware how difficult this art is and therefore find the pieces very overpriced. Perhaps if they see how long it... More

A fascinating place to visit. The glassware on show is very professionally made and unique, beautiful pieces. Fruit bowls, candle holders, paper weights, mugs etc You just got to see it. If you want to buy, you need a big wallet, and you can even go in and view the glassware being made(for an entry fee). The mix of colours... More
