Challenging Course -

Group of ladies played both courses over 2 days and found Centineal the most testing. Staff in the café were very friendly and the food was great. thanks Tapou.

I was just passing through the area and stopped in to take in the Greens. I dont play golf, but what a view of the course from the viewing area! After asking if it was ok to order some food, the people there were warm and inviting. So I ordered the fresh fish burger which was caught the day before,... More

A strong layout on pumice base so playable all year. Greens are usually in great condition and very slick. Taupo is one of the few clubs in New Zealand with two 18 hole courses. Centennial is their flagship track though Tauhara is also an excellent layout. Don't leave without visiting the legendary "Bunter's Cafe" at the 19th. Great food at... More

A longer course at the Centennial Course. But not a great golf experience in summer. Fairly hostile for women. Long and ladies tees not much advantage. Lots of lost balls .Parts of the course are very steep and maybe dangerous for carts.

Cane up to book a tee time for the following day (which unfortunately was rained off) but well we were there we had a look around the club and ate in the restaurant. Everybody we met at the club was incredibly friendly and the food was good and very reasonable. Our schedule didn't allow us to play but we will... More

The golf club has a choice of two courses, we chose Centenial as two of our group of three are good golfers. I must say we found the course disappointing. I realise it is summer, but the fairways are obviously not watered as they were extremely dry, with almost no grass in some areas, just dusty patches and poorly mown.... More

It was mu first time in a golf course, the guy there was very friendly and helpful. He explained us what to do and gave us complimentary tees and balls. The course was wonderful and beautiful. There weren't many people there and facilities are well located. A great first time experience that made me feel the essence of golf.

Taupo Golf club has two golf courses. Centennial the more manicured and tougher course and Tauhara the more open and shorter couse. Last weekend I managed to play Tauhara with a couple of mates. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the greens were. The fairways are a little unkempt and the holes are quite short but the experience was... More
