Well worth a visit in Taupo

Defiantly visit if staying in Taupo, can hardly believe that the falls go so fast and the water is so blue! Amazing

Amazing that a sight such as this is free for all to enjoy. Definitely worth taking a look at this waterfall. It is different to others in NZ and is a very fast moving falls. More like white water rapids.

It is a beautiful place to visit. You also can walk/bine a Track there. But there are a lot of tourists there.

I did the cruise as well but it is so worthwhile to visit the falls from the lookout because you get an entirely different perspective and it’s free! The sheer power of the water is awesome and there’s a short walkway and a bridge over the falls so you can appreciate the force of the water from above. It can... More

Visited the falls on our way from Taupo to Auckland. The exit for the falls is off Highway 1 and is a quick detour. I would definitely recommend a visit to the falls as it is quite spectacular. Only point to note is that the visitor car park closes at 630 pm.

Easy walk, good path, beautiful views, thought falls will be bit more spectacular. On return you can relax on the natural hot water springs. Just don't fall asleep!

Just go! Don't re-consider because you've seen hundreds of falls - it's 5 minutes off the main highway and, like many places in NZ, will blow you away with its clear and beautiful blue water.

When you pull up in the car park and head towards the bridge it is all quite quite, but as soon as the falls come into view the roar of the water is immense. A ridiculous amount of water is flowing through a ridiculously small area, its just amazing!

Park opposite the Huka Falls souvenir shop and walk the short walk to the falls. This way you will get a different view of the falls. Then walk over the bridge like everyone else. Call in at the souvenir shop at the beginning of the walk. Great shop
