What a wonderful way to spend an evening. Used a Grabit to get in for half price. There are three pools...warm, warmer and HOT at 40 degrees. Work your way up. The hot pool is hard to get into, but persevere as the water at the top of the pool is hottest....if you get in, it is enjoyable for ten... More

Fantastic soak on a rainy day after hiking the Tongariro Crossing. Beautiful blue water in a tropical setting leaving the skin beautifully soft for days after. A little expensive but worth it.

The wairakei terrace pools are a tranquil experience. You come away feeling relaxed. The pools are clean and lovely to look at, they are not full of chemicals so you feel great after a soak. They changing rooms are a let down as they could do with expanding and upgrading but does not impact on the experience of the pools... More

Only did the pools here and enjoyed a relaxing break from the day's driving. Please be aware how slippery they are and hold tight on the rail as you walk into each one - the receptionist did warn us. There are 3 pools, the top one is the hottest at over 40degrees so hardly stayed in there, the lower two... More

We called in here to experience a natural spa and really loved this lovely spa with all its terraces and thermal pools. Really relaxing and as we had no children we really appreciated the adults only atmosphere. It was expensive and a towel was extra and it did not include a walk up to the terraces.we did enjoy it but... More

Only went to the thermal pools which were amazing. The setting is stunning and so relaxing. The pools have different heats so you have the option to relax in which one suits you. It is a must do in Taupo. Would love to do it again. Skin feels silky smooth afterwards. Hint remove jewellery as it may tarnish it.

The Terraces hot pools are quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended but be aware if travelling as a family they are adults only.

This was a beautiful place to visit. The terraces are lovely. Regret not going into the pool. Was quite a short walk so pleased we got a Grabone deal for half the price. Wasn't sign posted very well. Tracks all over the place. There could be numbers on the track to represent the numbers on the map. 1 staff member... More
