Came for a quick visit Lots of families walking, looking and enjoying the animals and setting. Great playground, lots of shade and a few animals to view. Not a huge or extensive display but kids would enjoy

Our second visit & lucky for us we arrived just when it's feeding time!! Friendly & knowledgeable keeper was happy to answer questions from onlookers. Well-kept & clean enclosures, animals looked happy & healthy. There is no entry fees/charge, so please donate (box at entrance) if you can. Lovely place for young & old.

This is a family friendly FREE zoo. The best thing about it is the animals are close enough for small children to see. Monkeys are unobstructed through glass window. The free flight cage for the birds is fascinating, especially when watching them feed. I went there after a recent rainfall which had obviously woken them up, they were extremely active... More

We reviewed this as part of Pukekura Park & Brooklands as we went to the (free) zoo as we wandered through the park. Good for children as well. A small however interesting range of animals all of which looked well cared for in natural looking habitats.

Small zoo, but a great free activity. Especially for small children with it's playground in the middle as well. Can get up close to lots of the animals. Nice aviary you can walk through. Have been here a few times and will return with our kids
