Lots of variety with plants, trees, birds and lake. Good street parking and well sign posted walks of varying lengths through the park.

Lovely place to wander. Brookland Bowl is fantastic - must return one day to watch a concert / festival. Pukekura Park is well worth a visit. Allow a good 1 - 2 hours to enjoy it all properly

A Must see especially during the Festival of Lights. Great families but yet special enough for romantic date. Playground for the kids. The 'Bowl' for awesome concerts. Catch a cricket game or get an ice cream from the kiosk. Great for everyone

We have travelled NZ 6 times and have always skipped New Plymouth... Why? It's one of the best places in the north island. The park is beautiful and is a nice walk along both sides including the free zoo.

This was a beautiful park with well cared for pathways around lakes. There is a free zoo which we'd have loved to have seen but it was closed because of a major event being held in the park. Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic facility to have so close to town. The lake and poet bridge are great for photos. The cafe served fantastic fejoe muffins with lovely staff and good views. The small free children's zoo in the adjacent Brooklands parks was wonderful.
