On a clear day….
Aug. 2021
Or even a slightly cloudy one you can take a fabulous shot of the mountain in the sculpted curve of the bridge. Pretty water views, lovely gardens and some bird spotting too!

Artful bridge
Apr. 2021
What a beautifully crafted bridge. Makes for a pleasant scenic walk as cars are not allowed on it. Would recommend a stroll on it to enjoy the architecture and beautiful peaceful surrounds.

Architectural masterpiece, that is what I can describe this walk bridge and worth your rather long walk to get here.

Great on a sunny day

Funky bridge. I love it that they could have put in a boring plain bridge but didn't.
The view was great and we could see the mountain.

Scenic walk and interesting bridge
Apr. 2021 • Family
The walk to Fitzroy Beach is great for young kids / a buggy. There’s a park and food kiosk at the beach to finish it all off. The bridge is interesting and makes a good spot for a photo!

Unusual bridge
Jan. 2021
We parked our rental car to the south of Lake Rotomanu, and walked around the east side of the lake to reach the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge.
Unfortunately the bridge was in the process of getting a repaint, so not looking very smart. Also it was very cloudy, so we did not get the views of the bridge with Mt Taranaki in the background.
Having crossed the bridge we then walked several kms of the Coastal Walkway to the northeast of the bridge. Then about turned, back across the bridge, and down the western side of Lake Rotomanu to return to our car.
The views are not that exciting, but it was a decent walk which we enjoyed.

Awesome bridge

Definitely a must-see when you visit New Plymouth. We didn’t do the whole 11km walkway, but did parts of it, so drove to the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge. It is a stunning piece of architecture- best visited on a fine day when you can take amazing photos. Lake Rotomanu was pretty too.

Stunning piece of Architecture & Engineering
Jan. 2020 • Family
What a beautiful addition to the New Plymouth coastline. It’s one thing just to stick up a functional bridge for getting across the river but thank god someone had the foresight to spend a bit more cash and erect this stunning engineered sculpture. It sits beautifully in the landscape and frames Mount Taranaki perfectly. This is a must of attraction in the Naki especially if you are going to cycle along the walkway.

Loved it❤️

I really loved this eastern section of the walkway where the bridge is located; it’s very different from the western section. The bridge is of beautiful design and is well worth a visit.
