Take your time whilst walking around. Enjoy the giant trees and crystal clear creek with large visable trout. Buy an empty bottle made from renuable materials on your way in, and fill it from the spring taps. Remember to top it up on the way out. The kids loved the kiwi experience. Seeing baby kiwis, they chatted about it for... More

This was a good day out especially with the nature side with the wildlife. Lots of aviaries of Kiwi birds, reptiles and fish and of course the actual Kiwi! We saw three in the Kiwi house! (Your ticket also gets you in to the Agrodome down the road, which is farm with farm animals, shearing of sheep etc.) There is... More

What a great family day out. Travelled with family including 4 grandchildren ages 6 to 6 months and we all had a fun time. Informative staff told us about the Tuatara, took in the bird show and rode The Big Splash. Well laid out grounds and good facilities.

We had a very limited time here as our visit was prearranged by Scenic who we holidayed with. After a quick walk around we had a talk on kiwis and then went into the area where they have some prior to release, unfortunately we only saw one young one and then it was time to leave, it would have been... The park itself is very nice so long as you like fish and birds. If you're wanting other wildlife then Paradise Valley is where you want to go. The bird show is very good and you should enjoy it. There is a flume ride called The Big Splash which is ok but not fantastic. The commentary only partially works on... More

A great spot to visit some of the rarest and colourful native animals of New Zealand. Amazing work in conservation and protecting the Kiwi with its hatchery program. Enclosures are interactive as you can go inside the aviaries and the animals are very well cared for. Great for the kids to learn about native wildlife and see them up close.... More
